Luuurvly Cover!
Ok I’ve never made it a secret that cover art and titles don’t mean much to me when I’m deciding whether to buy a book or not but DAMN, have y’all seen the cover for Karen Marie Moning’s Spell of the Highlander??
Ok clearly we need a drooling icon. I must go find one now.
I’ve never read any of Karen’s books, and in looking at this particular novel, saw it was in a series? Anyone read it? Is it good? Are the books are yummy as the cover? I might have to dig into a new author. Someone give me info

Girl! You DO NOT know what you have been missing!!
I highly recommend Kiss of the Highlander, The Dark Highlander (my personal favorite! :evil2:), and The Immortal Highlander, all of which are about the Mackeltar clan and their nemisis, Adam Black. Although everything I’ve read by KMM is excellent!

Oooh, I agree, the Highlander books are great. The Dark Highlander is my favorite so far, but The Immortal Highlander is on my soon-TBR-pile. The cover for the new one looks fantastic–the arm, the tatoo. *drools*

I haven’t read them all, but oh my gosh, THE DARK HIGHLANDER is HOT, intense and So GOOD. THe best out of the ones I have read.

WOW…..that is one YOWZER of a cover. I think I’ll have to add that to my list of must reads!

I haven’t read her but it sounds like I should! Let us know what you think of it.

I highly recommend these books. I hardly ever re-read books. There’s so many new books and so little time. I will re-read these sometime. Excellent story, memorable characters, and umm, very sensual.

Covers don’t usually influence my decision but that’s tempting. I only read one of her books and that was a long time ago. My favorite cover was the one on Wild For You by Suzanne Gray. I thought he was so cute. I just wanted him standing face out on my bookshelf so he could just look at me and smile all day. LOL

Kim, covers almost never influence my buying decisions either, but DAMN, if I can imagine that guy the entire time I’m reading the book it sure is tempting….:evil2:
Thanks guys! It sounds like I’m missing out on a great series. I’ll have to go dig up the first one. Oh darn, I just hate when I find a good author with a backlist :shit: hehe

What?
I’m not a fan of time-travels/historicals, but anything by KMM, I love!!
Just my 2 cents, but her first 2 books aren’t nearly as good as her newer work.

Some of her books are wonderful, and I’ve found others that weren’t as compelling.

for what it’s worth, I love her books!

Immortal Highlander is a must read. The heroine’s door gets broken down by six feet four inches, two hundred pounds of enraged fairy. I swear, that’s in the book. The hero, Adam Black, is one of the fey- fairies, but they ain’t sweet, cute, or have wings. Oh, go read it. The new one looks good, too.

Um…yeah, I’m sold. The cover grabbed me and these recommendations are sucking me in.
See, all those publishers out there need to take a good hard look at this entry. A great cover can really do a lot. Not only do I think this book is a must-buy, but I’m now totally intrigued to go find KMM’s backlist as well.
